摘要

Abstract

[Objective]In order to determine the pathogen causing the sudden death of two calves in a cattle farm in Xinjiang,so as to provide guidance for disease prevention and control in the farm.[Methods]Samples of viscera and intestines from the two suddenly deceased calves were collected sterilely.One bacterial strain was isolated and purified from the viscera,and observation of cultural characteristics,PCR identification,and drug sensitivity test were carried out.[Results]The results showed that a strain of Clostridium perfringens was isolated,and it was sensitive to antibiotics such as ampicillin,ceftaiofur sodium and ciprofloxacin,but resistant to streptomycin,kanamycin and tilmicosin.[Conclusion]The results indicated that the pathogen causing the sudden death of calves in the farm was Clostridium perfringens,which was sensitive to antibiotics such as ampicillin,ceftaiofur sodium and ciprofloxacin,but resistant to antibiotics such as streptomycin,kanamycin and tilmicosin.
