Research on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Electron Beam Welded Joints of 12 mm Thick TC11 Titanium Alloy
摘要
Abstract
The 12 mm thick TC11 titanium alloy plate was welded by electron beam welding machine,and the internal qual-ity of the weld was examined by X-ray detector,the welded joint was observed by super depth-of-field microscope to ana-lyze the distribution pattern of different tissues,and the mechanical properties were tested by tensile test and microhardness,and further observed by scanning electron microscope on the microstructure and fracture morphology.The results show that the welded joint are well formed,the TC11 titanium alloy base metal organization has two different sizes of equiaxial α-phase embedded in the β matrix,the fusion line near the alternating distribution of acicular martensite α',in the weld ap-pears at different angles of the lamellar α-phase,equiaxial β-phase and lamellar α-phase composed of the metastable state mi-crostructure,as well as the emergence of a sub-micron level equiaxial β-phase composed of a fine crystalline band;welded seam zone and heat-affected zone microhardness Slightly higher than the base metal area,welded seam middle hardness is slightly higher than the weld upper and lower;tensile specimens are fractured in the welded seam,the tensile strength is lower than the base material;The fracture morphology is tough fossa-like,typical of toughness fracture.关键词
