SUN Shaoqiu's experience in treating knee osteoarthritis based on the theory of"When dampness invades a weakened body,disease arises from the lower body portion"
摘要
Abstract
Based on the theory of"When dampness invades a weakened body,disease arises from the lower body portion",Professor SUN Shaoqiu believes that the occurrence of knee osteoarthritis(KOA)has typical characteristic of mixed deficiency and excess.The deficiency is attributed to weakness of liver and spleen,and insufficiency of kidney essence;the excess is attributed to the invasion of exogenous pathogens,among which dampness is the core.In clinical treatment,it is important to focus on tonifying the liver,spleen and kidney,replenishing essence and marrow as well as clearing and draining dampness.According to the pattern differentiation,a combination of various methods such as Chinese medicines,acupuncture,and physiotherapy should be used to treat both the internal and external aspects,which has proven to be quite effective.This paper summarized Professor SUN's experience in treating this disease from the perspectives of etiology,pathogenesis,and clinical treatment.A proven medical case is also provided as reference for clinical treatment of this disease.关键词
