Professor Huang Guihua's Experience in Treating Ulcerative Colitis

Abstract
As an inflammatory bowel disease mediated by multiple factors,ulcerative colitis(UC)has not yet been completely cured with certain methods.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has certain advantages in promoting UC mucosal healing and improving the clinical symptoms of patients.Professor Huang Guihua,the seventh batch of national TCM experts to inherit the academic experience,has rich experience in the prevention and treatment of digestive system diseases.Professor Huang Guihua believes that UC is often mixed with deficiency and excess,and the cause is mainly related to the exogenous six evils,improper diet,spleen and stomach weakness,emotional disorders,and kidney-Yang deficiency.The pathogenesis is based on spleen-kidney-Yang deficiency,and the retention of dampness is the symptom.Disharmony between Qi and blood runs through the disease.In the process of disease development,pathological factors such as exogenous evils,food accumulation,toxin turbidity,Qi stagnation,and blood stasis can be mixed.In the treatment,attention should be paid to strengthening the spleen and removing turbidity,warming the kidney and removing dampness,and harmonizing Qi and blood.In addition,the rational use of charcoal in clinical practice can enhance its efficacy.This paper summarized the clinical experience of Professor Huang Guihua in the treatment of UC,which has strong clinical significance.关键词
