Abstract
Objective To explore the improvement of bone marrow suppression in malignant tumor patients after chemotherapy with Wuhong Decoction.Methods A total of 60 patients with stage III-IV malignant tumors were selected.The control group received conventional chemotherapy,while the observation group took Wuhong Decoction one week before the second or third chemotherapy cycle and continued until one week after chemotherapy.The degree of bone marrow suppression,Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)score,blood routine parameters,frequency of recombinant human granulocyte-stimulating factor(G-CSF)use,and quality of life scores were compared between the two groups.Results Compared between the two groups,the observation group showed better outcomes in terms of myelosuppression,although the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).However,the observation group demonstrated advantages in KPS scores,quality of life scores,and the usage of recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant impact on adjuvant medication(P>0.05).Conclusion Wuhong Decoction can improve the KPS scores and quality of life scores of chemotherapy patients,thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.关键词
