Study on Steady-State Amplitude Estimation Method of Breeze Vibration of UHV Steel Tubular Towers

Abstract
Steel tubular towers are widely used in ultra-high voltage(UHV)transmission lines in China.Circular section members are prone to forming stable Von Karman vortex under the influence of gentle breezes,resulting in vibration of the components and potentially inducing bolt loosening and connection fatigue,which endanger the structural safety of UHV steel tubular towers.In this paper,the mechanical model of the diagonal member in the UHV steel tubular tower is established,and the differential equation of flexural vibration of the diagonal member is derived.The natural frequency calculation method is provided,and the influence of axial force and connection stiffness on the transverse flexural vibration frequency of the diagonal member is investigated.The steady-state amplitude of the diagonal member is calculated using the energy balance method,considering wind input energy and bolt slip energy dissipation.The effects of wind speed and connection stiffness on the steady-state amplitude of vibration of SJ3021 UHV steel tubular tower are studied,and the design recommends are put forward to reduce the impact of breeze-induced vibrations on diagonal members.This study contributes to the prevention and control of breeze vibrations in diagonal members of UHV steel tubular towers and has great significance for enhancing the safety and reliability of transmission towers.关键词
