Abstract

The over-aging treatment of the C-Mn-Si system 1 500 dual-phase(DP)steel annealed at 850℃has been carried out at different temperatures.The effects of over-ageing temperature,hydrogen charging current density and hydrogen charging time on the hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility of 1500DP steel were investigated using electrochemical hydrogen charging and slow strain rate tensile experiments.The microstructures and hydrogen fracture morphologies of 1500DP steel were characterized by optical microscope and scanning electron microscope.The experimental results show that the tensile strength and yield strength of 1500DP steel decrease,and the elongation firstly decreases and then increases,when the over-aging temperature increases from 240℃to 300℃.The hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility decreases with the increase of over-aging temperature,the decrease is most significant when the over-ageing temperature is 300℃.With the increase of hydrogen charging current densities and the extension of hydrogen charging time,the mass fraction of hydrogen in 1500DP steel increases significantly,and the hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility is also enhanced.
