Visualization analysis of the evidence of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of osteoporosis and perspective of research hotspots

Abstract
[Objective]To analyze the research status,research characteristics and hot trends of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of osteoporosis,and provide hot spot perspective and suggestions for future traditional Chinese medicine drug research and development in the treatment of osteoporosis.[Methods]Chinese database such as CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data,Chinese biomedical literature,as well as English databases such as Web of Science and PubMed were searched to obtain literature on the treatment of osteoporosis with traditional Chinese medicine.The search time was from the establishment of the database to October 2024.CiteSpace and VOS viewer software were used to analyze the evidence visualization of the included literature,including the trend of publication,the cooperation of authors and institutions,keyword clustering,co-occurrence and burst word analysis,etc.,and drew the visualization map.[Results]A total of 2 525 articles were included,and the number of published papers on the treatment of osteoporosis with traditional Chinese medicine showed an overall upward trend,with the largest number of published papers in 2023,a total of 117 articles.Among them,the author with the largest number of published studies was ZHENG Hongxin.The research institutions were mainly universities and research institutes of traditional Chinese medicine.The research hotspots mainly focused on pharmacological effects,cell molecules and so on.The popular research methods were mainly data mining.[Conclusion]Through visual analysis,this paper summarized the key evidence and hot trends of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of osteoporosis from the aspects of research themes,objects,methods and other elements.This paper found that the research of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of osteoporosis mainly focuses on the pharmacological effects and mechanism.Research hotspots focused on the role of traditional Chinese medicine on low back pain caused by osteoporosis.At present,the general trend of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of osteoporosis is to establish a relationship between"cell experiment outcome index"and"osteoporosis-related diseases".The analysis results were visualized to provide evidence reference for the theme selection and research design of the follow-up research on osteoporosis treated by traditional Chinese medicine.关键词
