摘要

Abstract

Microwave line-of-sight communication distances are usually within tens of kilometers due to the limitations of the curva-ture of the Earth.However,the communication distance can be extended to beyond line-of-sight by utilizing evaporating duct.In this pa-per,an evaporating duct-based propagation path loss prediction method for shore-ship beyond line-of-sight communication is designed.The two-dimensional parabolic equation is introduced to establish and the electromagnetic wave field strength is solved by stepwise Fouri-er method,and the Fourier transform of the antenna directional map function and the aperture field distribution is used to obtain the ini-tial field and determine the propagation path loss.Simulation results show that the method in this paper can realize the prediction of the propagation path loss of shore-ship beyond line-of-sight communication in the case that the height of the evaporating duct and the operat-ing frequency are known.
