Abstract
An ultrasound imaging algorithm based on virtual array element adaptive beam-forming is proposed to overcome the contradiction between resolution and probing depth,and improve the low image contrast in ultrasound imaging.In the method,the resolution and detection depth in ultrasound imaging is adjusted by virtual array element dual focusing beam-forming,and the overall image is processed by adding coherence factor after optimal weighting of echo data by the minimum variance beam-forming algorithm.Virtual array element dual focusing is used to increase the effective aperture size of the array to improve resolution and focusing performance;minimum variance beam-forming is used to suppress noise and increase the intensity of the signal(the object);and the coherence factor is used to improve the quality and contrast of the image.Simulation experiments on simulated point(the object)and simulated cyst(the object)are conducted in Field Ⅱ and the four imaging algorithms are contrasted.The experimental results show that the resolution of the proposed method does not decrease dramatically with the increase of probing depth,and its contrast outperforms that of the traditional imaging methods.关键词
