The Image Construction of the CPC in the Rear Area of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression

Abstract
To achieve their political objectives,political parties must cultivate a positive image,with senior party figures playing a pivotal role in this effort.During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression,the formation of the national united front of resistance against Japanese aggression,rooted in the collaboration between the KMT and the CPC,provided the CPC with an opportunity to project a positive image in the wartime zones of resistance against Japanese aggression centered around Chongqing.In this process,the CPC political participants of National Political Council emerged as a crucial group in shaping the party's public perception in the rear,serving as the architects and disseminators of the party's political discourse.Their extensive interpersonal networks were a vital channel for the CPC to build its image.The National Political Consultative Conference served as a significant platform for shaping the CPC's image,with numerous related public opinion reports laying an informational foundation for this endeavor.The significant role of CPC representatives of the National Political Council in strengthening the party's image in the rear underscores the irreplaceable contribution of senior party members in defining the party's identity.关键词
