Abstract
Objective:To investigate the immediate cerebral effects mechanisms of electroacupuncture in migraine without aura(MWoA)patients through dynamic amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation(dALFF)analysis combined with machine learning algorithms.Methods:A 3.0 T MRI scanner with a novel head flex coil was used to perform BOLD-fMRI scans on 50 MWoA patients before and during electroacupuncture.Regional dALFF variations were analyzed.The dALFF values of the different brain regions were extracted and analyzed using support vector machine(SVM)algorithms to assess the immediate brain effects of electroacupuncture.Results:Significant dALFF decreases were observed during electroacupuncture in the right superior occipital gyrus,right orbital superior frontal gyrus,right opercular inferior frontal gyrus,left middle occipital gyrus,left pericalcarine cortex,and left cuneus(GRF correction,voxel-level P<0.005,cluster-level P<0.05).The classification model based on these significantly different dALFF values effectively distinguished between before and during electroacupuncture states,with the accuracy of 0.86,the specificity of 0.80,the sensitivity of 0.88,and the AUC of 0.88.Conclusions:Electroacupuncture exerts immediate therapeutic effects in MWoA by normalizing hyperactivity in visual processing pathways,potentially mitigating migraine pathogenesis through modulation of visuospatial information processing networks.关键词
