摘要

Abstract

To improve the sound absorption performance of the perforated plate and porous material in low and middle frequency range,a combined structure consisting of a common perforated plate and a thin porous material layer in parallel ar-rangement was proposed.A theoretical model was established using the acoustic-electric analogy method and a numerical model was built based on COMSOL Multi-physical field finite element software,and verified by sound absorption measure-ments in an acoustic impedance tube.The sound absorption mechanism and acoustic properties of the combined structure were elaborated deeply by means of acoustic energy distribution and parametric analysis.Based on the particle swarm opti-mization algorithm,the sound absorption of the combined structure and the classical micro-perforated plate structure was op-timized and compared.It is shown that the acoustic energy dissipation of the combined structure is mainly attributed to the resonance effect of the perforated plate in the low-frequency domain and the air viscosity and heat conduction effects of the porous material layer in the high-frequency domain.The parametric analyses show that for the perforated plate with a re-duced aperture diameter and perforation rate,a large thickness and a large occupation area,the combined structure can achieve better sound absorption in low-mid frequency range.Measurement results also confirm that compared with a homo-geneous porous layer of the same thickness,the combined structure composed of thin layers has the potential to extend the sound absorption spectrum obviously.The proposed combined structure is expected to be applied in low and medium fre-quency noise reduction scenarios such as acoustic isolation chambers for transformers and exhaust mufflers for cooling tow-ers.
