摘要

Abstract

Horizontal gene transfer(HGT),also known as lateral gene transfer(LGT),refers to the transfer of genetic material between organisms that are not parent-offspring relatives.While HGT has been extensively studied in prokaryotes,research on this phenomenon in eukaryotes remains limited.However,increasing evidence suggests that HGT plays a significant role in the genomic evolution of eu-karyotic organisms,including insects.This review summarizes recent studies on insect HGT genes origi-nating from viruses,bacteria,fungi,and plant,and explores mechanisms of HGT in eukaryotes.Addi-tionally,it discusses the potential applications of HGT in green pest management,providing a novel perspective for the sustainable and control of agricultural pests.
