基于两性生命表评价取食柞蚕蛹和灰茶尺蠖蛹对蠋蝽生长发育的影响
Evaluation of the growth and development of predatory stink bug Arma custos(Fabricius)fed on Chinese tussar moth Antheraea pernyi(Guérin-Méneville)pupae and geometer Ectropis grisescens Warren pupae based on two-sex life table

Abstract
To assess the biological control potential of predatory stink bug Arma custos(Fabricius)against Ectropis grisescens Warren,we used the high-quality prey Antheraea pernyi(Guérin-Méneville)pupae as a control and constructed an age-stage,two-sex life table for A.custos on A.pernyi pupae and E.grisescens pupae.We analyzed the effects of these diets on the development and fecundity of A.cus-tos.The results showed that there were no significant differences in preadult survival rate,preadult dura-tion,oviposition days,fecundity,and net reproductive rate between A.custos fed on E.grisescens pupae or those fed on A.pernyi pupae.However,A.custos fed on E.grisescens pupae exhibited a significantly longer adult preoviposition period(36.52 d),total preoviposition period(69.36 d),adult longevity(65.90 d),and mean generation time(79.76 d)than those fed on A.pernyi pupae.Meanwhile,the intrin-sic rate of increase and finite rate of increase of A.custos fed on E.grisescens pupae were significantly lower than those of individuals fed on A.pernyi pupae.In conclusion,despite the lower quality of E.grisescens pupae as prey compared to A.pernyi pupae,A.custos was able to successfully complete its life cycle.Notably,the significant extension of adult longevity may enhance its predation efficiency,fur-ther improving its biological control potential.Therefore,A.custos represents an effective natural ene-my for the biological control of E.grisescens pupae.关键词
