Abstract

As unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)surveying and mapping technology develops,consumer-grade UAVs can be equipped with digital cameras,global navigation satellite systems(GNSSs),inertial measurement units(IMUs),and other sensors,making it possible to produce large-scale digital products.This paper took DJI PHANTOM 4 real time kinematic(RTK)consumer-grade UAVs as the research object and Liaoning University of Science and Technology as the research area to verify the accuracy that can be achieved by large-scale digital line graphic(DLG)made by consumer-grade UAVs under the image-free control state.The study shows that the DJI PHANTOM 4 RTK consumer-grade UAVs are fully capable of meeting the accuracy requirements of 1∶500 digital mapping in the plane under the image-free control state,but there exist individual points with over-limit phenomena in elevation.They can satisfy both accuracy requirements in 1∶1 000 digital mapping in terms of plane and elevation.
