Treatment of breast cancer-associated menopause-like syndrome based on the Liver-Kidney-Tiangui-Chongren-Breast Axis

Abstract
Endocrine therapy plays a crucial role in reducing the risk of recurrence for breast cancer.A common adverse effect that significantly impedes the treatment progress is the menopause-like syndrome.Traditional Chinese Medicine offers unique advantages as a complementary therapy to modern endocrine treatment.The theoretical explanation of the Liver-Kidney-Tiangui-Chongren-Breast Axis encompasses:when the liver and kidney are abundant in qi and blood,the mammary collaterals are nourished and active;with the arrival of Tiangui,the mammary collaterals become tangibly nourished;when the Chongren meridians are in balance,the mammary collaterals are nourished with a defined pathway.The relationship between the Liver-Kidney-Tiangui-Chongren-Breast Axis and endocrine-associated menopause-like syndrome in breast cancer is as follows:Dysregulation of this axis forms the basis of pathogenesis,with liver stagnation,kidney deficiency,and imbalance of the Chongren being key pathogenesis factors.Diagnosis and treatment of menopause-like syndrome based on the axis include:prioritizing liver regulation,harmonizing both body and mind;regulating qi and blood,balancing the Chongren;nourishing the kidney and consolidating the foundation,and adjusting yin and yang.关键词
