A case study of the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy through the Two-State,Three-Pattern,and Three-Factor Model of Diagnosis

Abstract
Duchenne muscular dystrophy(DMD)is an X-linked recessive genetic disease caused by mutations in the DMD gene.It is considered one of the challenging and rare diseases in pediatrics.Currently,Western medicine primarily relies on hormone therapy,which can delay disease progression,but has limited impact on altering the eventual outcomes of cardiac and respiratory.Guided by the Two-State,Three-Pattern,and Three-Factor Model of Diagnosis developed by Professor Zhang Zhen,a National TCM Master,Professor Tian Chunhong conducted a meticulous analysis of the etiology and pathogenesis,emphasizing the dynamic nature of the disease.The treatment strategy integrated the concepts of"one body with two wings"and"regulating qi movement",employing flexible prescriptions and medication adjustments.This approach yielded favorable clinical outcomes.This paper presents an analysis of Professor Tian Chunhong's diagnosis and treatment of DMD and summarized his diagnostic and therapeutic principles,in order to provide reference for clinical management of the disease.关键词
