摘要

Abstract

The black soldier fly larvae have the biological characteristics of rapid reproduction,strong adapta-bility and high bioconversion efficiency,rich in protein,fat,trace elements,vitamins and other nutrients,as well as active substances such as chitin and antimicrobial peptides.It is a kind of high-quality forage resource-based insect,which has great potential to replace soybean meal and other protein raw materials.In addition,due to the unique saprophytic lifestyle of the larvae of the black soldier fly,it has important application value in solving organic waste and resource reuse.This article reviews the biological characteristics,nutritional value,substrate optimization strategies and application progress of black soldier fly larvae in animal production,rec-ommends the appropriate amount of black soldier fly larvae in various animal feeds,and discusses the challen-ges faced by the industry and directions for future in-depth research,aiming to provide a reference for the de-velopment of black soldier fly larvae in feed utilization and its application in animal production.[Chinese Jour-nal of Animal Nutrition,2025,37(3):1503-1515]
