Application of three-stage teaching mode in the course of Basic Nursing

Abstract
Objective To explore the application effect of three-stage teaching mode in the course of Basic Nursing.Methods Four undergraduate nursing classes from 2019 cohort at Changchun University of Chinese Medicine were selected.Two classes with 109 students were selected as the control group,receiving traditional teaching method,while the other two classes with 106 students were selected as the intervention group,receiving the three-stage teaching mode.Outcome indicators included academic performance,self-directed learning ability,and humanistic care ability.Results The scores of theoretical knowledge,practical skills,overall performance,self-directed learning ability,and humanistic care ability and all dimensions were higher than those of the control group(P<0.001).Conclusions The implementation of the three-stage teaching mode in Basic Nursing can improve nursing students'academic performance,self-directed learning ability and humanistic care ability,demonstrating a positive teaching effect.关键词
