Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of holistic care management mode on treatment compliance and pulmonary function in children with severe pneumonia in pediatric intensive care unit(PICU).Methods 90 children with severe pneumonia admitted to PICU of the Children's Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University from January to December 2023 were selected.They were randomly divided into the study group(n=45)and the control group(n=45).The control group received conventional nursing interventions,while the study group received a holistic care mode.The time required for symptom resolution,length of hospital stay,treatment compliance and pulmonary function were compared between the two groups.Results The study group showed significantly shorter hospital stay and time required for symptom resolution compared to the control group(P＜0.05).After the intervention,the score of treatment compliance in the two groups were higher than before(P＜0.05),with the study group exhibiting significantly higher scores than the control group(P＜0.05).After intervention,the forced vital capacity(FVC)and forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1)were significantly improved in both groups compared to pre-intervention levels(P＜0.05),The complication rate in the study group(4.44%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(17.77%)(P＜0.05).Conclusions The implementation of holistic care mode in PICU can effectively improve treatment compliance,enhance pulmonary function,effectively reducethe length of hospitalization,and reduce the incidence of complications.关键词
