摘要

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation of Saccharomyces boulardii and Bacillus subtilis on intestinal health and immunity of Teddy dogs.Twenty healthy adult dogs with a body weight of(8.57±0.35)kg were randomly divided into 2 groups with 10 replicates per group and 1 dog per replicate.The experimental group was fed the basal diet supplemented with additives of Saccharsacchara boulardii and Bacillus subtilis,while the control group was fed the basal diet.The feeding experiment was conducted for 30 days.The apparent digestibility of dry matter and other nutrients(crude protein,crude fat,organic matter)in faeces and feeds were measured.Fecal samples were collected for sequencing of gut microbes.The results showed that the apparent digestibility of dry matter and other nutrients(crude protein,crude fat and organic matter)in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the number of red blood cells,hemoglobin,hematocrit and blood albumin in experimental group were significantly decreased(P<0.05).Serum IgA content was significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the relative abundances of Holdemanella and Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1 in the intestinal of dogs in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the relative abundance of Ruminoc gnavus in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Therefore,the addition of the compound of Saccharomyces boulardii and Bacillus subtilis in the diet can improve the digestibility of nutrients and the abundance of beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract in dogs,inhibit harmful bacteria in intestinal tract,maintain intestinal health,and enhance immune function.
