Abstract
Objective To analyze the awareness of tobacco hazards among adults in Yunnan Province in 2022,understand the related influencing factors of tobacco hazards awareness among adults in Yunnan Province,and put forward targeted suggestions to improve tobacco hazards awareness education measures.Methods A stratified multi-stage cluster probability sampling method was used,the permanent residents over and above15 years old in 129 counties and districts of Yunnan Province were selected in four stages for household survey,and the data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and logistic regression analysis.Results In 2022,the current smoking rate and second-hand smoke exposure rate among adults in Yunnan Province were 32.52%and 69.03%,respectively.The awareness rates of smoking causing lung cancer,heart disease,stroke,and erectile dysfunction among residents were 66.04%,37.49%,28.62%,and 9.49%,respectively,with 7.47%of residents being aware of all diseases;the awareness rates of adult lung cancer,childhood lung disease,and adult heart disease caused by exposure to second-hand smoke among residents were 56.76%,38.67%,and 29.50%,respectively,and 21.11%of residents were aware of all diseases.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that urban-rural distribution,nationality,age,education level,occupation,and current smoking status were common risk factors for disease awareness caused by smoking and secondhand smoke exposure(P<0.05).Conclusion The awareness of tobacco hazards among adults in Yunnan Province needed to be improved,and public awareness of tobacco hazards should be improved,and publicity and education on tobacco hazards in key populations and ethnic minority areas should be strengthened in many ways,and smoke-free legislation and tobacco control intervention should be continued.关键词
