Survey on the Awareness and Current Status of Myopia Prevention and Control Among Primary and Secondary School Health Teachers and School Doctors in Jiamusi City

Abstract
Objective To understand the knowledge level and current work status of myopia prevention and control among primary and secondary school health teachers/school doctors in Jiamusi City,and to provide the reference for improving the myopia prevention and control level of health teachers/school doctors.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted in 2023 to survey primary and secondary school health teachers/school doctors in Jiamusi City.Results The average score of myopia prevention and control knowledge among healthcare teachers/school doctors in Jiamusi City was 4.07±1.57 points,and the influencing factor was whether they had a medical background.The proportion of the survey respondents who believed that they needed to receive training on myopia prevention and control knowledge was 98.0%,including prevention measures for myopia,intervention methods after onset,and educational methods;48.5%of the survey respondents believed that myopia prevention and control mainly rely on parents and individual students,and the role played by schools is minimal.The main obstacles to carrying out myopia prevention and control work at present are the lack of myopia prevention and control equipment in schools and the lack of support from professional medical institutions.Conclusion The knowledge level of myopia prevention and control among primary and secondary school health teachers/school doctors in Jiamusi still needs to be further improved,and there is an urgent need for knowledge on myopia prevention and control intervention measures.关键词
