Epidemiological Characteristics Investigation of Elderly Hospitalized Cases Due to Injuries in Putuo District,Shanghai
摘要
Abstract
Objective To understand the epidemic characteristics of hospitalized cases due to injuries in the elderly in Putuo District of Shanghai,and to provide the basis for the development of prevention and control strategies preventing of injury in the elderly.Methods Descriptive analysis was conducted on the data of injury inpatients aged≥60 years reported by the injury inpatient registration information system of five medical institutions in Putuo District of Shanghai from 2021 to 2022.Results From 2021 to 2022,a total of 4281 elderly patients≥60 years old were reported from information platform of the injury hospitalization monitoring in Putuo District,Shanghai,the ratio of male to female was 1 to 2.01.The age distribution of hospitalizations due to injuries of different genders was statistically significant;the top three causes of elderly injury were fall/fall(82.62%),non-motor vehicle accident(6.89%)and motor vehicle accident(4.98%).Injury hospitalization occurred all year round,with the lowest number of cases in April,October to December was the peak season.The main occurrence places were home(50.69%)and transportation(46.02%),and the top three injury properties were fracture(89.47%),concussion/brain contusion and tear(4.88%),sprain/strain(3.04%).The lower limb(45.27%),upper limb(24.22%)and trunk(22.49%)were the top three injuries.Conclusion Fall is the first cause of injury hospitalization in the elderly in Putuo District of Shanghai.Intervention should be further carried out based on the current epidemic characteristics of injury hospitalization in the elderly.关键词
