Abstract
From the mid-Ming Dynasty onwards,China's traditional maritime trade relations with the outside world were disrupted by the arrival of the Portuguese.As a frontier region of the empire,Ningbo underwent notable urban adjustments,particularly in the elements of Shibo and city defense.These changes reflect the complex urban transformations within specific geographic units in China under external influences during the late Ming to pre-Opium War period.关键词
