From Urban Planning Concepts in Guan Zi to Resilient City Construction:Changes and Continuities in Ancient and Modern Urban Development

Abstract
Throughout history,urban safety has remained a central theme in urban planning.The urban planning concepts in Guan Zi begin with environmental governance,establishing an idealistic macro perspective spiritually while pragmatically guiding city construction through practical approaches.By comparing the planning philosophy of Guan Zi with modern resilient city theory,this paper reveals the intrinsic logic of"change"and"continuity"in urban development across time:ancient breakthroughs in ritual frameworks and functional optimization resonate with modern resilient cities'emphasis on ecological adaptation,risk anticipation,and dynamic recovery capabilities.The research demonstrates that urban safety requires a balance between traditional wisdom and technological innovation.By clarifying natural laws and human needs,proactive planning can address complex challenges,thereby achieving sustainable development of human settlements.关键词
