Spatial Morphological Features of Dragon King Temples in Traditional Villages along the Pingshun Stretch of the Zhuozhang River

Abstract
In the practice of protecting the cultural heritage of the river basin,the architecture related to water god beliefs is not only an important part of cultural heritage,but also serves as the key to enhancing the cultural resilience of the settlement and achieving adaptive development within the"temple-village-river basin"framework.Taking dragon king temples in traditional villages located along the Pingshun Stretch of Zhuozhang River as the research object,this paper studies the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of temples of dragon king by using the methods of historical research and spatial analysis.Based on field investigation and oral interview,this paper analyzes the architectural layout of temples of dragon kings and their relationship with the settlement space.The coexistence of dragon king temples and settlements demonstrates their environmental adaptability and historical accumulation.Therefore,a strategy for the overall protection of dragon king temples,their surrounding environment,and historical information is proposed.It not only enriches research on the belief space of water gods,represented by temples of dragon kings,but also provides a practical foundation for the centralized protection and utilization of traditional villages along the Zhuozhang River.关键词
