The Protection of Historic Districts under the Intervention of Local Protection Agencies:Taking Vieux Carré Historic District in the United States as an Example

Abstract
The Vieux Carré Committee plays a vital role in the protection of the Vieux Carré Historic District.The paper first points out the role played by local protection agencies before the improvement of the historic district protection system in the United States.Secondly,the Vieux Carré Committee is taken as the research object,and the Vieux Carré Committee is analyzed and studied from the aspects of management mode,continuation of the neighborhood style,formulation of protection and renewal guidance manual and multi-party cooperation,and its protection and renewal methods are specifically explained.Finally,the experience of the Vieux Carré Committee is summarized for the protection of historic districts in other countries and regions.关键词
