摘要

Abstract

The Fanshan region in Zhejiang is the largest and longest-standing alum production site in China's history,with the Wenzhou Alum Mine being a key enterprise in the modern alum industry.After ceasing production in 2017,the main plant area of the mine,which contains numerous remnants of significant industrial and historical value,was largely abandoned and is now facing increasing decay.This study,drawing on field investigations and archival research,examines the current state of these remnants.By recreating the complete alum production process based on the traditional"water leaching"method inherited in the Fanshan region,and analyzing the spatial layout,functional groupings,and key structures within the main plant area,the paper proposes protection strategies aimed at revitalization.The findings intend to provide a reference for the preservation and renewal of similar industrial heritage sites.
