Alcoholic Liver Disease and Gut Microbiome:Interrelationships and Intervention Strategies
摘要
Abstract
Alcoholic liver disease(ALD)is a global public health problem caused by long-term alcohol abuse, with high preva-lence and mortality rates posing a serious threat to human health. The pathological evolution of ALD covers a continuous pathological stage from alcoholic fatty liver to alcoholic hepatitis, alcoholic liver fibrosis, and ultimately to cirrhosis. In recent years, studies have found that the gut microbiome,as a complex ecosystem within the human gut,not only plays an important role in maintaining intestinal barrier function, regulating the immune system, and metabolic balance, but also directly or indirectly participates in the pathogenesis of ALD through the gut-liver axis. The imbalance of gut microbiota is considered one of the key driving forces for the development of ALD,which can exacerbate liver damage by disrupting the intestinal barrier, inducing intestinal endotoxin migration, and releasing harmful metabolites.Intervention strategies targeting the gut microbiome, including probiotics, prebiotics, phage therapy, fecal micro-biota transplantation(FMT),and epigenetic applications, have become a hot topic in ALD treatment research. This article reviewed the core role of gut microbiota in the pathogenesis of ALD and its possible intervention strategies, aiming to provide theoretical basis and clinical reference for the early diagnosis and precise treatment of ALD.关键词
