Current situation and research progress of SARS-CoV-2 infection in animals
摘要
Abstract
SARS-CoV-2 is the etiological agent responsible for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.According to data from the World Organization for Animal Health(WOAH),as of June 2023,there have been 775 reported cases of animal infections with the novel coronavirus in 36 countries,involving 29 species including minks,cats,lions,and others.This has a significant impact on global health and socioeconomic conditions.Moreover,the virus can undergo genetic mutations and even transmit back to humans after infecting animals.This article reviewed the etiology,susceptible animals and main symptoms,genetic variation mechanism,animal model,diagnosis,vaccine and comprehensive prevention and control measures of SARS-CoV-2 infection in animals,in order to provide references for prevention and control of animal infection with the SARS-CoV-2.关键词
