Abstract
Objective:To compare the effects of unilateral percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)and bilateral PVP on patients with lumbar osteoporotic vertebral fracture. Methods:Data of 90 lumbar osteoporotic vertebral fracture patients admitted to Heze Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from July 2021 to June 2024 were retrospectively analyzed, according to the different treatment methods, they were divided into a control group(n=30)and a study group(n=60).The control group was treated with bilateral PVP,and the study group was treated with unilateral PVP.The surgery-related indexes, lumbar function, pain degree and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results:The intraoperative blood loss and bone cement injection volume in the study group were less than those in the control group, and the operative time was shorter than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Three months after surgery, the scores of Oswestry Disability Index and Pain Visual Analogue Scale in the two groups were lower than before surgery, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);but there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).Three months after surgery, the scores of all dimension Generic Quality of Life Inventory-74 in the study group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Both unilateral and bilateral PVP can relieve postoperative pain and improve lumbar function in patients with lumbar osteoporotic vertebral fracture.Compared with bilateral PVP,unilateral PVP can shorten operation time and reduce intraoperative blood loss, and improve patients'quality of life.关键词
