"One Flower Alone is Not Spring":How Can the Government's Digital Attention Empower the Balanced Development of Regional Innovation

Abstract
Under the background of the development of digital economy,it is the proper meaning to make full use of the institutional advantages of Socialism with Chinese characteristics to realize the strategy of regional coordinated development.Therefore,in theory,this paper analyzes the role and mechanism of government digital attention in promoting the balanced development of regional innovation.On the empirical basis,this paper uses the data of China prefecture-level cities in 2011-2021 to construct an index system of regional innovation concentration in urban dimension,and investigates the effect and mechanism of government digital attention on the balanced development of regional innovation.The results are as below.Firstly,the promotion of government digital attention has significantly promoted the balanced development of regional innovation in China,and this conclusion still holds after using various methods to test the robustness.Secondly,government digital attention promotes the balanced development of regional innovation through two effective mechanisms:promoting the entry of new enterprises and reducing the degree of market segmentation.Thirdly,the heterogeneity test shows that in the samples with high financial self-sufficiency,high market potential and high-quality innovation platform,the influence of government digital attention on the balanced development of regional innovation is more obvious.Fourthly,the nonlinear relationship test shows that there is a significant inverted U-shaped relationship between government digital attention and the balanced development of regional innovation.关键词
