摘要

Abstract

Mechanoelectrical transduction(MET)channels are one of the key links in the conversion of acoustic physical signals into electrical signals by inner ear hair cells.They are macromolecular protein complexes and essential for mammalian hearing and balance functions.The exact molecular composition of the MET channel complex is not clear.At present,the known MET channel-related proteins include TMC1/2,LHFPL5,TMIE and CIB2.Alteration or deletion of the these proteins can lead to abnormalities in MET channel structure and function,resulting in hearing loss.This article reviews the MET channel and related genes,and discusses the correlation between MET channel related gene mutations and deafness.
