摘要

Abstract

Otitis media(OM)refers to an inflammatory lesion in the middle ear caused by bacterial or viral infections,which is a common disease in clinical otolaryngology,usually involving children with common symptoms including ear pain,hearing loss and ear discharge.At present,antibiotics and surgery are often used to treat OM in the clinic,but there are adverse reactions and complications after medication.Therefore,it is urgent to study the pathophysiological mechanism of OM in order to improve treatment methods.The rapid development of high-throughput technology enables omics techniques to comprehensively analyze a large number of similar biomolecules or single molecules simultaneously.Discovery of new biomarkers using omics technology deepens researchers'understanding of the pathological and physiological mechanisms of OM,providing new ideas for diagnosis,treatment and prevention.We will review the latest developments in the application of omics technologies in the management of OM from five aspects:genomics,proteomics,metabolomics,transcriptomics and microbiomics.
