Speech-Evoked Auditory Brainstem Response and Age-Related Hearing Loss
摘要
Abstract
The speech-induced auditory brainstem response(s-ABR)is of clinical value for the early detection of age-related deafness.Age-related hearing loss is characterized by normal thresholds for pure tones at speech frequencies,but decreased speech recognition in noise,which can be insidious.Some studies have found that s-ABR can detect hidden hearing loss early with certain levels of sensitivity,and can be used as an objective test for monitoring early auditory speech recognition ability changes in the elderly,which provides a new way for early detection,prevention and intervention in age-related hearing loss.关键词
