摘要

Abstract

Australia is the first Western country to legislate traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and establish TCM degree programs in universities.TCM education has taken root and developed in Australia since the 1960s.This paper reviews the current status of Chinese medicine education at five higher education institutions accredited by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency(AHPRA).It examines the educational resources and teaching methods,faculty qualifications,curriculum credit allocation,and clinical internship arrangements within these institutions.By systematically analyzing the challenges currently faced by higher education in Chinese medicine in Australia,this paper proposes corresponding strategies to provide insights and references for the establishment of a high-quality,advanced overseas TCM education system.
