Spatial Distribution Pattern and Interspecific Association of Main Species in Natural Regeneration Communities of Platycladus orien-talis Plantation in Xiaoxishan Mountain of Beijing

Abstract

In order to understand the spatial distribution pattern and interspecific relationship of natural regeneration of Platycladus orientalis plantation in Xiaoxishan Mountain.The seedlings and saplings in Platycladus orientalis plantation on the typical site in Xiaoxishan Mountain were divided into 3 grades according to plant height.The spatial distribution pattern and scale of natural regeneration dominant species were de-termined by seven clumping indices.The interspecific associations of major natural regeneration tree species were analyzed by the inter-species association index(VR),test,association coefficient AC and Pearson correlation coefficient.The results showed that Broussonetia papyrifera,Mo-rus mongolica,Quercus variabilis,Morus alba,Diospyros lotus and Cotinus coggygria var.cinereus were the main natural regeneration species,in which Broussonetia papyrifera,Morus mongolica were the dominant species,and the regeneration of Platycladus orientalis was seriously poor.The seedlings and saplings of Broussonetia papyrifera and Morus mongolica,showed clumping pattern under 5 m×5 m,5 m×10 m,10 m×10 m,10 m×20 m sampling scales,and had the largest clumped intensity on 5 m×5 m sampling scales,the pattern scale of different grades was 25 m2.The clumped intensity of the seedlings and saplings of Broussonetia papyrifera increased with the increase of grade.Morus mongolica seedlings and saplings had clumped distribute except for the random distribution on 10 m×20 m sampling scales in grade Ⅲ.The seedlings of the main species of natural regeneration in the plantation showed no significant positive correlation.In the natural regeneration of Platycladus orientalis plantation,the dominance of the pioneer broad-leaved tree species was obvious,and the distribution of Broussonetia papyrifera,Morus mongolica was clustered.The seedlings of the main species of natural regeneration in the plantation showed no significant positive correlation.
