Study on the Community Structure of Stewartia sinensis in Guniujiang National Nature Reserve,Anhui

摘要

Abstract

In order to understand the basic status of Stewartia sinensis community in Guniujiang Mountain and provide a scientific basis for pro-tection of this rare species,the basic composition and structural feature of S.sinensis community were studied by investigating four sample plots in Guniujiang Nature Reserve,Anhui Province.The results showed that there are 53 vascular plant species belonged to 29 families and 40 gene-ra.The preponderant families are Lauraceae,Ericaceae and Fagaceae.At genus level,there were 9 distribution types.The temperate elements were more than the tropic ones(21/19),indicating the character of the flora transferring from tropical to temperate.The S.sinensis community belongs to evergreen deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest.The dominant species at arborous layer are Quercus serrata,Rhododendron simsii,S.sinensis,Machilus thunbergia,Castanea henryi and Liquidambar formosana.The main species at shrub layer are Camellia fraternal and Camellia cuspidata.The main species at herb layer are Woodwardia japonica and Lophatherum gracile.In S.sinensis community,the species diversity of ar-borous layer is the highest,compared to those of herb layer and shrub layer.There are 84 young S.sinensis trees in the community,accounting for 84.85%of the total S.sinensis trees.Although the renewal of S.sinensis community shows an increasing trend in Guniujiang Mountain as a whole,we suggested that the S.sinensis community should be investigated every five years.
