Exploring Professor Lu Yun's Therapeutic Regimen for Post-Acute COVID-19 Syndrome Based on Data Mining

Abstract
Objective:This study aims to analyze the prescription patterns of Professor Lu Yun in treating Post-Acute COVID-19 Syn-drome using data mining methods.Methods:The study focused on patients diagnosed with Post-Acute COVID-19 Syndrome who re-ceived outpatient treatment under the guidance of Professor Lu Yun from June to October 2023.Medication prescriptions were collected and carefully screened to establish a comprehensive database.Leveraging the advanced capabilities of the Ancient and Modern Medical Case Cloud Platform,a wide range of dimensions pertaining to the prescribed medications,including their frequency of use,therapeutic effects,Four Qi,Five Flavors,and Meridian tropism,were meticulously analyzed and statistically evaluated.To unravel the underlying medication patterns employed by Professor Lu Yun in the treatment of Post-Acute COVID-19 Syndrome,sophisticated analytical tech-niques such as clustering analysis,association rules,and complex network analysis were adroitly applied.Results:A total of 163 pre-scriptions were analyzed,encompassing 164 traditional Chinese medicinal herbs.Among these,six high-frequency herbs,each exhibi-ting a usage frequency exceeding 80%,were identified:Ginseng,White atractylodes,Cinnamon twig,Aconite,Roasted astragalus,and Angelica.These herbs predominantly possess Warming properties,with the primary flavors being Sweet,Pungent,and Bitter.The principal meridians they are associated with include the Spleen,Lung,and Heart.Their therapeutic effects are chiefly aimed at enhan-cing Yang energy,stabilizing pregnancy,and soothing the mind while fostering intelligence.The most robust associative rules identified include Ginseng-White atractylodes,Cinnamon twig-Ginseng,and Roasted astragalus-White atractylodes.Cluster analysis revealed four distinct groups of medicinal herbs,whereas complex network analysis pinpointed ten core herbs:Roasted astragalus,Ginseng,White atractylodes,Bulboschison,Chihu,Angelica,Dried tangerine peel,Cinnamon twig,Aconite,and Red peony.Conclusion:Professor Lu Yun's treatment of Post-Acute COVID-19 Syndrome revolves around the pathological mechanisms of"deficiency of central Qi and weakness of heart Yang."He has summarized a treatment approach that focuses on"tonifying the center,enhancing Qi,warming and promoting the circulation of Heart Yang."This approach,addressing both the root causes and the symptoms,provides valuable guid-ance for the clinical management of Post-Acute COVID-19 Syndrome.关键词
