Research on the Activation Strategies for the Historic and Cultural Blocks Based on Public Participation:A Case of Ciyun Temple-Mishijie Street-Longmenhao Historic and Cultural Blocks in Chongqing

Abstract
The protection of historic and cultural blocks plays an important role in preserving local characteristics in the process of urbanization,and public participation helps to preserve the characteristics of the districts.This paper analyzes the current conservation status of Ciyun Temple,Mishi Street,and Longmenhao Historic and Cultural Neighborhoods in Chongqing,and finds that there is a lack of public participation in the planning stage and a lack of clarity in the commercial theme,and proposes that"participatory"planning should be carried out together with the policy,planning,and neighborhood.This paper provides a reference basis for public participation in the protection of historic and cultural neighborhoods by relevant departments.关键词
