幽门螺杆菌感染与结直肠息肉的相关性
Correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and colorectal polyps

Abstract
Objective:Colorectal adenomatous polyps are precancerous lesions of colorectal cancer,while Helicobacter pylori(Hp)is a major pathogen associated with various gastrointestinal diseases.However,whether Hp infection is related to colorectal polyps remains a subject of clinical debate.This study aims to investigate the relationship between Hp infection and colorectal polyps based on data from Digestive Endoscopy Center of the Second People's Hospital of Wuhu. Methods:A total of 502 patients who underwent gastroscopy and colonoscopy with Hp testing at Digestive Endoscopy Center of the Second People's Hospital of Wuhu from January 2020 to August 2024 were included in this study.Patients were divided into the colorectal polyp group(n=310)and the control group(n=192)based on the presence or absence of polyps.The Hp positivity rates between the two groups were compared.Additionally,the relationship between Hp positivity and polyp characteristics,including size,location,number,and pathological type,was analyzed. Results:The Hp infection rate was significantly higher in the colorectal polyp group compared to the control group(60.32%vs.42.19%,P<0.05).Multivariate analysis identified Hp infection as a risk factor for colorectal polyps(OR=2.032,95%CI 1.392 to 2.966,P<0.001).The Hp infection rate was higher in patients with multiple polyps,polyps larger than 0.5 cm in diameter,bilateral polyps and low-grade adenomas. Conclusion:Hp infection may be associated with the occurrence of colorectal polyps,and this correlation may be influenced by the number,size,location of the polyps and pathologic type.关键词
