Research on the Characteristics of Structure and Evolutionary Collaborative Innovation Network of Innovative R&D Institutions

Abstract
[Research purpose]Previous literature has focused on the collaborative innovation network of enterprises,traditional research institutions,and universities,but there is insufficient attention to the characteristics of the collaborative innovation network of new research organizations.Based on an evolutionary perspective,with case analysis method,it reveals the structure and evolutionary characteristics of the collaborative innovation network of innovative R&D institutions,in order to address the current problem of insufficient theoretical response to the prosperous development practices of innovative R&D institutions.[Research method]The article uses the Web of Science core collection database and applies social network research methods to analyze the overall characteristics and network structure features of the collaborative innovation network at the National Institute of Biological Sciences,Beijing(NIBS,Beijing)by examining data from co-published papers.[Research conclusion]The scale of collaborative innovation networks continues to increase,the global control ability of innovative R&D institutions over the network is gradually weakening,but it has a significant impact in local networks,while the overall network structure presents small world characteristics.The evolutionary characteristics of the network show higher consistency with the innovative activities of innovative R&D institutions,as the network evolves,the innovative activities of innovative R&D institutions gradually extend downstream of the innovation chain.The core nodes in the collaborative innovation network are mostly top foreign universities and institutions,and the international influence of innovative R&D institutions still needs to be improved.Innovative R&D institutions should further clarify the functional positioning,strengthening cooperation with innovative entities at the core of the network,at the same time,promoting continuous iteration and upgrading of collaborative innovation networks to maintain their own innovation vitality.关键词
