Zero-crossing prediction method for short-circuit current using extended Kalman filter
摘要
Abstract
The rapid and precise prediction of short-circuit current zero-crossings is crucial for the operation of phase-controlled switching.This study uses the extended Kalman filter technique to forecast zero-crossings of short-circuit current.It examines the impact of varying sampling durations and initial phase angles on zero-crossing prediction errors,based on the characteristics of short-circuit current waveforms.Simulation and experimental findings indicate that with a sampling window of around 5 ms,the prediction accuracy for the initial zero-crossing can attain 0.5 ms.This method demonstrates superior prediction accuracy and shorter sampling time compared to current methods,offering both theoreti-cal and technical support for swift short-circuit fault interruption and minimizing circuit breaker arcing time.关键词
