摘要

Abstract

To analyze the effect of vehicle braking process on pedestrian kinematic response and head landing injury in traffic accidents,a case of in-depth pedestrian accident with Somersault kinematic characteristic was selected from the Vulnerable Road Accident Data-base(VRU-TRAVi).The pedestrian kinematic response and head injury were reconstruc-ted using PC-Crash and MADYMO coupling.Two vehicle braking strategies were de-fined:full braking and controlled braking,and the maximum braking deceleration(a)and braking coordination time(t)were used as the braking parameters,and a 32-group simu-lation matrix was constructed through a full factorial design of experiments to quantita-tively analyze the effects of different braking parameters on the risk of pedestrian head landing injury.The results show that different pedestrian kinematic characteristics require the development of controlled braking strategies with different braking parameters to opti-mize the head protection effect.The relationship between the pedestrian head landing inju-ry risk and a and t showed uncertainty.
