Abstract
Objective:To explore the impact of minimizing sedation strategy under the guidance of early comfort using analgesia,minimal sedatives and maximal humane care(eCASH)concept combined with airway specific nursing on respiratory function and comfort of mechanically ventilated patients in the intensive care unit(ICU).Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 100 ICU mechanically ventilated patients admitted to the Hefei First People's Hospital from January 2021 to January 2023,and they were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the different nursing methods,with 50 cases in each group.The control group received routine care,while the observation group received minimal sedation strategy under the guidance of eCASH combined with airway specific care concept on the basis of the control group.The respiratory function,comfort level,quality of life,and incidence of complications between the two groups were compared.Results:After 1 week of nursing,the blood oxygen partial pressure and blood oxygen saturation of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the carbon dioxide partial pressure of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After 3 months of nursing,the scores of all dimensions in the General Comfort Questionnaire of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After 3 months of nursing,the scores in all areas of the World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 4.00%,which was lower than the 16.00%in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusions:The minimization of sedation strategy under the guidance of the eCASH concept combined with specialized airway care can effectively improve the respiratory function of ICU mechanically ventilated patients,enhance their nursing comfort and quality of life,and reduce the risk of complications关键词
