The Health Benefits of Several Common Functional Pet Foods
摘要
Abstract
With the expansion of the pet industry,the demand for high quality pet foods is growing to meet the needs of animal nutrition,health and welfare.Functional pet foods are the products of precise and refined research of pet foods,which have the functions of regulating intestinal flora,improving intestinal health,enhancing immunity,anti-inflammatory and antioxidant,and preventing and treating obesity of pets.This article reviewed the nutritional needs and intestinal flora characteristics of dogs and cats,and discussed the research progress of functional pet foods such as probiotics,prebiotics,synbiotics,postbiotics,and protein hydrolysates in canine and feline applications,with a view to better understanding the role of functional pet foods in regulating the health of the pet's organism and reveal new avenues to improve the health and welfare of pets.关键词
