Applications and Future Trends of Fermented Feed in Pet Food
摘要
Abstract
Fermented feed obtained through microbial fermentation has enhanced nutritional value and is more digestible and absorbable for animals.Feed raw materials with originally low nutritional value,such as flaxseed meal,show good feed value after microbial fermentation,thereby expanding the range of fermented feed options and alleviating the shortage of feed resources like soybean meal to a certain extent.The fermentation process significantly reduces the crude fiber content in feed and increase the nutritional components such as crude protein,which helps animals to better ingest,digest,absorb,and utilize these nutrients.In addition,the beneficial microbial metabolites in the fermentation process have antibacterial effects and positively impact the maintenance of the balance of animal gut microflora,which is particularly important in the context of the prohibition of antibiotics,hence the widespread application of fermented feed is widespread.With the rapid growth of China's pet market,dogs and cats have become the main companion animals in households,and the increasing number of pets year by year drives the continuous expansion of the domestic pet food market scale,which has now reached 80 to 130 billion yuan,fully demonstrating the huge market demand and industry development potential in this field.In the field of pet food,fermented feed is mainly used to produce high-protein pet food with specific functions such as antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,and immune-enhancing properties.This review summarizes the functions,mechanisms of action,and application progress of fermented feed in animal and pet food fields,and analyzes the existing problems of fermented feed in pet food applications,aiming to provide a reference for further research and practical application of fermented feed.关键词
