Abstract
Objective:To translate the Intermittent Self-Catheterization Questionnaire(ISCQ)into Chinese,and to test its reliability and validity in patients with neurogenic bladder who need intermittent self-catheterization.Methods:The Chinese version of ISCQ were translated strictly following the Brislin translation model,including translation,back-translation,cross-culturally adaptation,and presurvey,to form the Chinese version of ISCQ.A total of 214 patients with neurogenic bladder and requiring intermittent self-catheterization hospitalized in the rehabilitation department of a tertiary grade A hospital in Zhejiang province from April 2023 to March 2024 were selected as the respondents for the questionnaire survey using the convenience sampling method,to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of ISCQ.Results:The Chinese version of ISCQ included 4 dimensions of ease of use,convenience,prudence,and mental health,with a total of 24 entries.The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.927,the split half coefficient was 0.806 and the retest reliability coefficient was 0.944;The content validity index for the Chinese version of ISCQ ranged from 0.830 to 1.000 at the item level and 0.958 at the scale level.There were 4 common factors being extracted by exploratory factor analysis with a cumulative variance contribution of 63.236%,and the results of the validation factor analysis showed the Chinese version of ISCQ had a good fit of the model.Conclusions:The Chinese version of ISCQ has good reliability and validity and could be a valid tool for assessing quality of life in patients with intermittent self-catheterization of neurogenic bladder.关键词
